Manchester United vs Chelsea (Sunday, 4pm)
Since the start of 2017 only three of Manchester United’s eleven Premier League matches have witnessed three or more goals; a stark reminder to Jose Mourinho that he really ought to try and play more progressive football, especially at Old Trafford.
But he’s a stubborn old mule and he will relish the opportunity to take points off his former employer here; his best chance of which is to strangle the life out of the game in his preferred bus parking fashion.
Chelsea very rarely struggle to break sides down, but we can cite the away matches at Burnley and Liverpool, which both ended 1-1, as examples of how they can occasionally fail to fire.
Mourinho won’t try and win this game, he will instead try ‘not to lose it’, and that will be reflected in a flaccid, lifeless affair.
