Premier League Betting Tips Sunday 15 October

The international break is over, and that is pretty much it as far as World Cup 2018 qualifiers are concerned – punters can finally get down to some proper business.

It’s an intriguing gameweek, and it will be interesting to see how injuries and fatigue from those internationals affects results this week.

Let’s take a look with our latest Premier League betting tips

Brighton vs Everton (Sunday, 1:30pm)

Brighton have impressed at home this term – Everton have underwhelmed everywhere.

The Seagulls held what we now know to be a rampant Manchester City for more than an hour on the opening day of the season, and since then have beaten West Brom and Newcastle on their own turf.

Everton’s form is truly dismal, and they managed to win just one of their last nine league and European fixtures – and that victory over Bournemouth had more than a slice of luck to it. Why wouldn’t you oppose Ronald Koeman’s men here?

Southampton vs Newcastle (Sunday, 4pm)

After impressing at times last season with their enterprising play, it’s fair to say that Southampton have completely underwhelmed this term under new boss Mauricio Pellegrino.

They’ve scored just two goals in their last five Premier League engagements, and their chance creation data is even more risible.

In such scenarios fear usually kicks in as the home support becomes more and more irate, and that little ‘chicken and egg’ situation does not usually end well for the manager in charge.

Newcastle, by contrast, have nothing to worry about. They’ve done incredibly well this term, and in seven outings they have only lost by more than one goal once – and that was against Spurs on the opening day.

Are Southampton likely to break that spell? You wouldn’t have thought so, given what we have seen so far.

Recommended Bet

Newcastle +0.50 Asian Handicap (11/10 with Paddy Power)
