Premier League Betting Tips Sunday 14 May

So here we are then: two weeks of Premier League action to go. It has been a long old road, but we now now Chelsea are the Winners are who’s joining them in the top four.

Matters at the foot of the table are still to be resolved, but we’re getting to that point in the campaign where motivation can, in parts, be hard to find.

With this in mind, who represents the best of the betting value this weekend?

Crystal Palace vs Hull City (Sunday, 12pm)

Depending on how Swansea fare on Saturday, this game could be all or nothing for Hull City as they seek to avoid relegation….and such a scenario, for a team that likes to play on the front foot, usually ends in goals.

Crystal Palace haven’t scored in three games, but that feels something of an anomaly: the trio of Zaha, Benteke and Townsend has plenty of guile, pace and power and will offer the Eagles a hefty threat on the counter attack.

Hull themselves have failed to score in their last pair of matches, but as mentioned above they may have no choice but to go for the jugular here should Swansea prevail on Saturday.

Tottenham vs Manchester United (Sunday, 4:30pm)

Both of these sides have lost their air of invincibility of late. Tottenham’s 0-1 defeat at West Ham last time out all but ended their title hopes for the second season in a row, while Manchester United have gone three without victory in the league and scored just a solitary goal in 270 minutes of action.

United’s focus is of course on the Europa League and their backdoor route into next season’s Champions League, and as Jose Mourinho tends to do he made the bizarre decision to rest key men for last Sunday’s game with Arsenal. The end result – a 0-2 defeat – was obvious.

If they go to White Hart Lane with such indifference they will be ripped to shreds. This is a Spurs side that is hurting at the moment, and it would take a brave punter to back against them extending their run of home victories to fourteen.
