The Citizens are a devastating unit in attack, and with Gabriel Jesus back to full fitness and Bernardo Silva looking a mercurial talent, Pep Guardiola has plenty of options at his disposal.
He is, however, sweating on the fitness of Vincent Kompany, and if the big Belgian is absent then his side’s chances here are severely hampered.
Liverpool’s attacking play has been a joy to behold this term, and the introduction of Mo Salah – enabling Sadio Mane to switch to the left flanks – has been revelatory. But, like City, there are still question marks against their name defensively, and for a team at this level to still be unsure as to who their best goalkeeper is should be of concern to Reds fans.
Who’s going to win this match? No idea, but there’s every chance it could be a goal-laden barnstormer.
