There’s another big weekend of Premier League action coming up, as things really start to hot up at both the top and bottom of the table.

All eyes will be on Leicester City, as Claudio Ranieri takes his players to relegation threatened Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.  The league leaders picked up their fourth 1-0 victory on the bounce last weekend, as they defeated Southampton 1-0 at the King Power Stadium.  There is a determination in Leicester’s play, that they will not concede a goal. With the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez running their socks off in attack, in addition to Danny Drinkwater and N’Golo Kante holding the midfield together, it’s difficult to imagine Sunderland spoiling the party for the visitors.

Sunderland have failed to win any of their last five games but are undefeated in their last three at the Stadium of Light, which will give the home fans some hope.  Sam Allardyce’s team will be scrapping for everything they can get but Leicester have the tenacity to match them in that department, plus have the extra quality going forward.  At 5/4 to win the match with BetVictor, Leicester are rightly favourites.  Jamie Vardy is without a goal in his last six games for Leicester and is due one, he can be backed at 9/2 with PaddyPower to get the first goal of the game.

Having been held by Liverpool last weekend, second place Tottenham Hotspur have another tricky looking match, as they welcome Manchester United to White Hart Lane.  Spurs have only beaten Manchester United once in their last six attempts and have failed to find the back of the net in their last three meetings.  Louis van Gaal’s team travel to London having conceded only 1 goal in their last four Premier League games and have a good record against the top teams this season.  However, Spurs have lost just twice at home in the Premier League and this could end with the spoils being shared, which is not much good to either team.  The draw can be backed at 5/2 with Coral.

Looking toward the bottom of the Premier League table and Newcastle really need to start winning games fast, as they travel to Southampton.  It’s now six games without a win for the Magpies and Southampton are a tough prospect on their own turf.  The Saints have won five of their last seven home league games, losing just one and will be confident of picking up another 3 points on Saturday.  Newcastle may find the back of the net but keeping them out at the other end is a problem and Ladbrokes offer 11/4 for a home win, with both teams to score.

Finally, Norwich will be aiming to build on their confidence boosting win over Newcastle last week, as they meet Crystal Palace.  A win for Norwich here, could see Palace sucked in to a relegation scrap, they did not expect to be in at the start of the season.  Alan Pardew’s men have failed to win any of their last fourteen games in the league, which has seen them slide down the table.  In addition to this, they have lost their last six in a row at home and this will add to Norwich’s belief they can take something from the game.  The Canaries are unbeaten in their last three and won 1-0 against West Brom the last time they played away from home.  This could be a close game, with a single goal settling matters and under 1.5 goals can be backed at 9/4 with Bet365.  Additionally, if you fancy Norwich to take maximum points, they can be backed at 9/2 with PaddyPower to win by a 1 goal margin.

There are sure to be more thrills and spills in the Premier League this weekend, as Leicester aim to edge closer to a dream Premier League title and Norwich, Newcastle and Sunderland look to ease
