With Leicester City drawing to West Ham in controversial fashion last weekend, Tottenham Hotspur took advantage by brushing aside Stoke City, 4-0, in the Monday night Premier League fixture.  There is a 5 point gap between the two teams, going in to this weekend’s fixtures.

Once again, Leicester will be playing on the Sunday but will still be the first of the two teams to play their fixture.  They face Swansea City at the King Power Stadium, in a game Claudio Ranieri must by eyeing as one for 3 points in the run-in.  The Italian manager will be without star striker Jamie Vardy, who is suspended, therefore Leicester will be relying on the duo of Shinji Okazaki and Leonardo Ulloa up-front.  Despite Vardy’s absence, Leicester are still strong favourites to win this match at 4/5 with Bet365 and it’s no surprise, considering they have tasted just one defeat at home in the Premier League all season.  It’s difficult to predict which Swansea team will turn up, the one which defeated Chelsea or the one which lost at Newcastle.  What is certain, is their away form is poor and Swansea have kept just one clean sheet on the road in the Premier League all season.  This match should see Leicester move a step closer to Premier League glory and they are 11/2 with SkyBet to win 1-0, a result they achieved in four of their last six games.

Tottenham are forced to follow Leicester again this weekend and they meet West Bromwich Albion at home on Monday night.  It’s now just one defeat in thirteen games for Spurs, as they attempt to keep the pressure on Leicester at the top.  The team have been scoring plenty of goals and there is little to suggest this match will produce any different.  Spurs have scored 15 goals in their last six home Premier League games and also hit 4 at Stoke last week.  West Brom on the other hand, have won only 1 of their last eleven away league games (prior to the match at Arsenal), which came at Everton.  Spurs should come through this game comfortably and they are 3/1 with Bet365 to win by a 2 goal margin.  You can also get 13/8 with SkyBet, for the in-form Deli Alli to score any time and Spurs to win.

At the bottom of the table, Newcastle face a daunting trip to a confident looking Liverpool team.  The 4-0 win over Everton, was the third time in four games in all competitions, Liverpool have scored 4 goals in a match.  It remains to be seen if Jurgen Klopp rests anyone ahead of the Europa League semi-final but Newcastle, despite picking up points at home recently, are dreadful on the road.  Liverpool to win and over 3.5 goals in the match is available at 13/5 with StanJames.

Finally, at the bottom of the table, Sunderland welcome Arsenal to the Stadium of Light.  This is an interesting fixture, as their seems to be some unrest at Arsenal of late and this could work in to Sunderland’s hands, who are coming off the back of their crucial win at Norwich.  Arsenal have a decent record against the Black Cats but Sunderland have lost just one of their last six Premier League games and safety is within reach.  At a price of 4/1 to win the game with BetVictor, this has to be worth a punt.  Otherwise, the draw is also available at BetVictor at 3/1.

It’s all set to be another intriguing weekend in the Premier League, both at the top and the bottom of the table
